A lovely two-dad family in Benedict Canyon is looking for a weekend nanny to begin ASAP! Both parents work full time, and one works part of the weekend as well, leaving the other to juggle the two kiddos and the house on his own. He’d love an extra set of capable hands! They are great employers and have had the same full-time nanny since their 4-year-old was born!

The family says: “We are not up tight, we are flexible and engaged, not rigid disciplinarians. We’re looking for an outgoing person who loves hanging out with kids. Someone emotionally intelligent with a tool kit of ways to respond to boundary testing but also someone who will not stifle our fiery 4-year-old daughter’s personality. We like people talking to our kids like humans.”

·      Start Date: ASAP ideally

·      Location: Benedict Canyon

·      Children: One two-year-old boy who is the sweetest of sweethearts, funny, smart, very verbal and one four-year-old girl who is “operating at a 10 at all times”, a total firecracker, intelligent, emotional, tactile, destructible, defiant, and conflicted about her feelings toward her brother. (They need someone who knows how to navigate gently.)

·      Pets: 2 dogs (No duties aside from occasionally letting them outside.)

·      Guaranteed Schedule: Sat and Sun 9am-7pm (If someone is open to help on some afternoons and evenings, that would be great, too! But not mandatory.)

·      Longevity: Long term!

·      Pay: $35-$40 per hour

·      Benefits: Paid time off

o   5+ years professional experience starting at 18

o   Clean driving record (have a car for the nanny to use)

o   Clean criminal record (Trustline registered or willing to be)

o   Fluent English speaker

o   Current in-person cpr/fa certification

o   Legal authorization to work in the US

o   Comfortable working with a gay couple

o   Able and willing to engage and entertain the children with screen usage kept to a minimum (such as when preparing dinner.)

·      Duties: 

o   Helping to tidy up after the children (the kitchen and their spaces)

o   Tag teaming with parents to take the children to/from activities and keep them happy and safe.

o   Grocery shopping and meal preparation for the children (if you are a good cook, that is a plus!)

·      Ideal Candidate:

o   Empathetic and emotionally intelligent

o   Outgoing and fun

·      Travel: Not a dealbreaker, but nice to have the option!
