Nanny Position for One Baby Girl in South Bay, LA! UPDATE: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED!

A very kind and loving family moving to the South Bay area (likely S. Redondo or W. Torrance) this spring (currently living in Brentwood) is looking for an amazing nanny for their 6-month-old baby girl beginning March 27! Please note, they need a nanny who is willing to make the commute to Brentwood for the first month or so prior to the move to South Bay.

Mom works from home and is still breast feeding exclusively. The baby girl is overall healthy but struggling with short sleep cycles and cries when put down for extended periods (so currently needs to be held a lot of the day.) They are working with their pediatrician to determine whether there are any health issues contributing to the crying. They would love a nanny who is experienced with these sorts of challenges and is willing to be patient and work with them on this.

The family says: “We are looking to be very friendly with this person, almost like a peer. Dad is more laid back and Mom is a little more type a. But both are always kind and respectful. We are looking for someone warm and loving who can bring some energy, who will be excited to be with our baby. Good energy. Good vibes.”

Location: South Bay area (beginning briefly in Brentwood)

Pets: 1 Cat

Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 9am-3pm

Longevity: Likely at least a year  

Benefits: Standard paid time off

Pay: $35 per hour

Requirements:

·       10+ professional experience starting at the age of 18 (including ample time with infants)

·       Legal authorization to work in the US.

·       Fluent English speaking (second language a plus)

·       Current in-person cpr/fa certification

·       Knowledgeable regarding developmental milestones and baby sleep issues, able to offer suggestions and be on the lookout for any delays (college educated or training/course work in infant/child development or someone with a medical background a huge plus)

·       Clean criminal background (Trustline registered, or willing/able to be)

·       Clean driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle (car not a dealbreaker)

·       Covid vaccinated with one booster

·       Flu vaccinated annually (not a dealbreaker)

·       Current Tdap (not a dealbreaker)

Duties:

·       Child related only (and only if/when the baby is asleep or not in distress; the baby comes first.)
